HYDROCONN® Series IV

Itron Compatible Connector Cable

PRODUCT DETAILS

Geospace Technologies offers a complete line of AMI water meter connector cables specifically designed and manufactured to meet the rugged requirements for in-pit, underwater applications. Geospace’s unique design ensures total moisture sealing for even the toughest underwater environments, yet they are easily re-entered for troubleshooting a transponder or for a meter swap-out. Versions are available that utilize molded-in-place or potted terminators for sealing.

Either version is totally intermateable with the Itron Inline Connector.

Features

  • Special manufacturing process designed to vastly improve cable/connectors reliability for rugged field applications
  • Post molded strain relief from cable to connector with potted option for PVC cable
  • Internal/external totally bonded connector
  • TPU-extruded cable jacket and molded connector

Who manufactures Hydroconn connectors?

Hydroconn® connectors are manufactured by Geospace Technologies in Houston, Texas. The Hydroconn family includes Series III, Series IV, and Series V connectors, as well as HydroAdapt™ connectivity solutions designed to support flexible AMI deployments.

What is the advantage of overmolded construction?

Overmolded cable construction provides enhanced environmental protection by creating a sealed connection between the cable and connector body. This design helps prevent water intrusion, reduces the risk of corrosion, and improves long-term reliability in underground meter pits and other harsh utility environments. Hydroconn® connectors feature overmolded construction and are designed to meet IP68 environmental protection standards.

What environmental rating do Hydroconn connectors meet?

The Hydroconn Series IV connector is designed for long term submersion and maintains an IP68 rating.
