Bobby Barker brings more than three decades of water industry experience to his role as Senior Director of Global Utilities at Geospace Technologies. His background includes leadership roles in engineering, marketing, and sales at Aclara, Neptune, and Mueller, with more than a decade focused on Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions for water utilities.
Bobby specializes in helping utilities improve day-to-day operations through connected water technology. His work with Geospace’s Aquana smart water solutions focuses on practical applications of remote monitoring and control, including reducing truck rolls, improving service response, and supporting field staff safety. He helps utility teams connect technology capabilities with their operational needs and evaluate the business case for adoption.
His education combines business and technical training, with a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Auburn University and an associate degree in mechanical design from Coastal Training Institute. He also shares his industry knowledge through published articles on AMI and remote water control.
